Didn't Sophocles Write This?

Microgeophagus ramerizi-The German Blue Ram

By Kevin Korotev

The Microgeophagan house of Ramerizi was of proud blood and proper lineage…but cursed by the god of Ich to hover on the brink of extinction; Sonless.

Behold the tank of 6 lonely, but perky purple bellied females.

See a motley duo of lustful Hun-rams from the German North descend, on a Saturn’s day afternoon, to kill all but two of the 6 gravid daughters.

Spy amongst the offal; a small and pitiful spawn…barely enough dinner for the solitary scrounger: Plecko, the great.

ENTER: The beneficent "Hand of God"...to find and raise one solitary runt of the ill-begotten union. (Do I hear harp music?)

Observe the fated princeling, chaste and chased, slowly gaining the strength to ultimately challenge and slay his miscreant father (the little bugger chased daddy under a rock and wouldn’t let him out).

Admire the bastard prince, now victorious conqueror, as he turns to claim a wife from the quivering two perky purple bellied females.

Will it be his aunt?

...Or...

His MOTHER?

Y'know. I started this little story about two years ago and got tired of it. Not because it wasn't fun to write, but because the actual continuing events in my Ram tank became impossible to keep up with. This story only reflects about 6 months worth of their lives. It was truly the stuff from Shakespeare or Greek tragedy.

Some people can "do" rams. I couldn't for 2 years. My only advise is simple: Be patient...or go get some wild ones, which HAVE to be easier. The German blue strain is trouble for a whole bunch of reasons.

Kinda leaves you wanting more, doesn’t it?

Me too.
